Michael Geeser has held the position of President at NIC for the past four years. In October of 2013, Geeser helped lead the NIC’s effort in hosting the annual State Insurance Trade Associations (SITA) Conference at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas.  Geeser is a Regional Director of Government Affairs for CSAA Insurance Group, a AAA insurer. In his role, he is responsible for all government affairs activity in ten states. That activity includes monitoring, analyzing and responding to legislative, regulatory and case law. In his previous position at AAA Northern California, Nevada and Utah, Geeser served as Government Relations Representative and Spokesperson. He handled all media related requests and represented AAA Nevada in the State legislature as well as on various state and local committees. Prior to AAA, Geeser was an award-winning Consumer Editor for CBS affiliate KLAS-TV in Las Vegas. In 2001, he received the Walter Cronkite Award for Excellence in Political Reporting. Geeser is married with two children. He’s lived in Las Vegas for 19 years. He’s a graduate of San Jose State University. Geeser serves on the executive board of the Anti Defamation League of Las Vegas. CSAA Insurance Group offers auto, home and other personal lines of insurance to AAA Members, in partnership with local AAA clubs in 23 states and the District of Columbia.

Robert Compan currently holds the position of Government and Industry Affairs Manager for the state of Idaho and Nevada. He joined Farmers in 1986 as a claims representative and has held numerous supervisory positions prior to accepting his current position in July 2005.  Mr. Compan’s current areas of responsibility are legislative, regulatory, and public relations for the state of Idaho and Nevada. He is Secretary Treasure of the Farmers Employees and Agents Political Action Committee in Nevada and Executive Director of the Idaho FEAPAC Board. Bob has proven to be an industry leader as a contact person for Media relations, elected officials, as well as the commissioner and staff of the Idaho Department of Insurance as well as the Nevada Division of Insurance.

Professional Affiliations – Mr. Compan is appointed by the Nevada Governor to serve on the 2015-2017 Automobile Affairs Advisory Board and was appointed to the 2009 Governors Auto Theft and Insurance Task Force. He is also Chairman of the Nevada Coalition of Insurance Lobbyist, Appointed to the Insurance Commissioners P&C advisory committee, Member of American Insurance Association western subcommittee, Director on the Nevada Life and Health Guarantee association, Vice President of the Nevada Insurance Council., Vice Chairman Las Vegas Metro Chamber of Commerce BIZPAC committee, Member of the Las Vegas Metro Chamber Government Affairs Committee, and member of the Idaho Ad-hoc insurance industry lobbying group.

Gus Miranda holds the position of Secretary-Treasurer. Gus received his undergraduate degree from Arizona State University in 1986, and his master’s degree from Norwich University in 2009. He began his State Farm career on February 3, 1988 as a Claim Representative in the Tempe Regional Office. Throughout his 29 year career with State Farm Gus has served in roles in Claims, Claims Automation and Procedures, Agency Training, Public Affairs, and is currently a Grassroots/Public Policy Specialist in the Law Department. In his role Gus is charged with the education of agents and employees about the importance of the legislative process and public policy issues and their impact on State Farm. He is also facilitates meetings between State Farm agents and employees and their elected officials.

Gus is a veteran having served in the Arizona Air National Guard. He is currently a Faculty Associate at Arizona State University where he teaches a course entitled Introduction into Diverse Community Issues. He is very active in the community and currently volunteers for several organizations and sits on several boards.
